Purpose

The purpose of Fusion Church is to help others come to know and experience the love of Jesus as we know and experience the love of Jesus.

Beliefs

We believe in the One and only Triune God; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God and the basis for our beliefs. It is truth without error in all it affirms; it is the basis for any statement of faith, and is the final judge and standard for our faith and practice as Christians individually, and this church body collectively. We voluntarily band ourselves together as followers and baptized believers in Jesus Christ. We believe in and practice the two commands of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to baptize by immersion and to relive the Lord’s Supper to remember what Jesus did for us on the cross.

Ministry

Jesus said we are to be mindful of the widows, the orphans and the poor around us and that we should do what we’re able to lessen the needs in their life.  By doing this, Jesus says, we are ministering to Him and bringing glory to God.  Ministering to our community in this way is only one way for us to be God’s light in a dark world.  Sharing the love of Jesus Christ by helping those in need is one of our top priorities at Fusion Church.

Worship

From the beginning to the end of the Bible the worship of the One True God is taught to be the number one priority of every child of God. Our desire is that our worship of God would be a reflection of our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Worshiping God is demonstrated in many ways and forms throughout Scripture and yet worship is never seen as distracting or chaotic.  Worship at Fusion Church is one of freedom, joy, reverence and honoring to God as we worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

Missions

Proclaiming the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ to whoever will listen is one of our greatest priorities and privileges as followers of Jesus.  We are commanded by Jesus in Acts 1:8 to take His message of redemption from our front door to as many doors as we can around the world.  As obedient servants, we’re to use whatever means and methods available to accomplish this command and do so in such a way as to not dishonor God.

Freedom

Jesus taught that there are those who “tie up heavy loads and put them on men’s shoulders”.  Jesus was referring to the man-made laws that men had developed so that by upholding these laws, people could stay in ‘right standing’ with God.  Jesus revealed in Matthew 11 that these ‘man-made laws’ were a burden to the people.  He then gave an invitation to those who were burdened and loaded down to come to Him.  Jesus gave a contrast to what man had done by stating that His yoke was easy and His burden was light.  As followers of Jesus, we have freedom in Christ to live our lives according to His teachings.  It was Jesus Who said that Truth sets us free.  Being authentic in our worship and in our life as followers of Jesus is one part of what it means to be set free by God’s Truth.  A priority of Fusion Church is for each of us to learn what it means to live by His truth and not by man’s religious laws.

Followship

When Jesus calls us to follow Him, it’s a followship by faith.  The Bible defines faith as “being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”   The Bible teaches us that we’re to walk by faith, not by sight, because “without faith, it is impossible to please God.”  To be a true follower of Jesus requires us to live our lives by faith by seeking His plan for our life.  To live any other way is to be outside of God’s Will for our life.  “That can’t be done” is not in our vocabulary at Fusion Church when it comes to following Jesus.

Community

Loving one another is a command by Jesus that we must obey if others are to see Jesus in us. When we love one another as Jesus loves us, those around us will know that we are followers of Jesus Christ.  Hanging out with other followers of Jesus was a common thread in the New Testament church.  Isolation and seclusion among followers of Jesus is not found in the Bible.  The community seen among first century followers of Jesus demonstrates their bond of love, their common purpose and the devotion that true followers of Jesus should have to one another due to their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
